The Doda unit of the J&K Accounts Employees’ Association on Monday proceeded on one-day mass casual leave.
They held a symbolic protest outside the district treasury office. It was part of the state-wide protest organised by the J&K Accounts Employees’ Association.
The association has been demanding delinking of Kashmir Administrative Services from accounts, cadre reviews of employees, pay parity at par with Central audit and accounts, drawing and disbursing powers to assistant accounts officers, awarding of two increments after qualifying each examination and amendment to SRO 78 among others.
The protesters said the future strategy would be decided after consultation with provincial and state units in coming days.
