Admission to honours courses begins at CUK

SRINAGAR: The Cluster University of Kashmir (CUK) has announced admissions for five-year integrated programmes in 15 subjects and in honours courses for the academic session 2019.

The Cluster University of Kashmir (CUK) has announced admissions for five-year integrated programmes in 15 subjects and in honours courses for the academic session 2019.

The university offers courses in three categories: Five-year-integrated courses, three-year honours programmes and three-year professional programmes. “We are inviting applications from eligible candidates for the 2019 academic session,” read a notification from the university.

The last date for filling application forms is January 31.

“All programmes are full-time regular courses. However, exit option is available for students admitted in the integrated five-year programmes after completion of three years as per UGC guidelines. Such students will be awarded three-year degrees,”the notification read.

The students who have qualified the Class XII examination will be eligible for both courses, the officials said.

The selection for the integrated five-year programme will be done on basis of marks obtained in Class X (40 per cent weightage) and Class XII (60 per cent weightage). —TNS
