Anantnag, April 17
Former Union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday said the BJP could do no harm to Article 370 till the Congress existed.
The senior Congress leader said this during an interaction with the media after a rally at Chattergul village of Shangus in the district.
When asked about the promises made by some BJP leaders vis-à-vis the removal of Article 370 of the Constitution, which gives the special status to J&K, Azad said, “Till the Congress exists, the BJP, even if they rule for the next 200 years, cannot remove Article 370.”
During his speeches, he attacked the BJP for allegedly spreading communal hatred and dividing the country on communal lines. “The only thing they have done best is create mistrust between Hindus and Muslims in the country,” Azad added. — OC
