BJP mandate ‘renaissance moment’: Panun Kashmir

JAMMU, May 25

Panun Kashmir—a frontline body of displaced Kashmiri Pandits— congratulated the BJP on its historic mandate under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said it was a “renaissance moment” for the country.

During the executive committee meeting, Virender Raina, president of Panun Kashmir, said India’s rise under Modi would encompass the nation’s leadership in economic and military terms.

The leader said issues related to the M-Form should be resolved well before the assembly elections are announced in the state so as to enable the displaced Kashmiri Pandits to exercise their franchise in a hassle-free manner.

ML Raina, advisor of the organisation, said BJP’s clear, categorical and unambiguous stance that Articles 370 and 35A would be scrapped was “heartwarming for the entire nation and particularly for the vast majority of the nationalist people of the state”. — TNS
