Flaying the previous PDP-BJP coalition for “ignoring the engagement of empanelled Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReTs) teachers” in the state, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president GA Mir on Sunday urged Governor NN Vohra to address the concerns of the teachers.

In a statement, Mir requested the Governor-led administration to go through the case of the teachers, who he said ‘have been empanelled for permanent engagement’.

“The Finance Department has already cleared the proposal but ironically, the previous government, in order to avoid the engagement process, forwarded the case to the Law Department seeking an opinion with regard to their engagement,” Mir said.

“One fails to understand as to why these teachers were not appointed despite being empanelled for engagement,” he added.
