Cop held for duping investors

RAJOURI: A Manjakot police team, led by SSP, Rajouri, Yougal Manhas on Tuesday arrested a policeman and booked several others for allegedly duping investors on the pretext of doubling money in a short period.

A Manjakot police team, led by SSP, Rajouri, Yougal Manhas on Tuesday arrested a policeman and booked several others for allegedly duping investors on the pretext of doubling money in a short period.

The accused has been identified as Iftikhar Ahmed of Poonch district, Currently, he is posted in Rajouri district.

A group of investors had recently lodged a complaint with the Manjakot police in this regard.

In their complaint, the victims alleged that the accused, including the policeman, had taken lakhs of rupees from them on the pretext of doubling them in a short period.

A police, led by SHO Manzoor Kohli, launched a probe and found the complaint genuine.
