Srinagar, August 12

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTIl), Pune, the premier film education institute of the country, conducted two back-to-back courses in smartphone filmmaking. It provided an excellent opportunity to the talented young boys and girls of Kashmir to learn filmmaking.

The courses were conducted from July 21-30 and August 1-10 with the help of the Rashtriya Rifles battalion of the Himalayan Brigade under the aegis of the Army’s Dagger Division. After the successful conduct of the screen acting course, the FTII faculty trained 52 youth in film production for the first time outside the institute, a statement said.

The closing ceremony was graced by Major General Gulab Singh Rawat, General Officer Commanding, Dagger Division. Dignitaries from the civil and district administration besides senior Army and police officers were also present.
