Gurukul mulls short-term yoga courses

The 25th meeting of the governing council of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul, Katra, was held at the Spiritual Growth Centre here on Wednesday.

The council expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the gurukul and emphasised the need for making endeavours to develop it as a centre of excellence. It also noted the outstanding achievements of the students of the gurukul in academics and co-curricular activities every year besides at various state and national-level competitions.

The council decided that possibilities will be explored for organising short-term capsule courses in yoga and karam kaand, etc, for Shastri part-III students of the gurukul to enhance their employability. — TNS
