Guv, Mattoo discuss steps to upgrade education sector

Jammu, November 11

Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Adviser to the Chief Minister, met Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here today.

Mattoo discussed with the Governor several issues relating to the advancement of the education sector, particularly focusing on the knowledge initiative of which Mattoo is the chairman. The initiative has been undertaken recently by the state government with the objective of empowering J&K’s youth in a global knowledge society.

The Governor urged Mattoo to help the government evolve policies and programmes which ensured development of a high-standard educational system in the state. — TNS
