A JCO was killed in a sniper attack by Pakistan troops along the LoC in the Nowshera sector on Tuesday.

A report said Naib Subedar Sunil Valte was reportedly hit by a sniper near the LoC. Another report suggested he was hit by terrorists who infiltrated into Indian territory.

Security forces today killed three militants in a gunfight at Rajpora Kanjinag village in Awantipora in Pulwama. “As the forces were laying a cordon, hiding militants opened fire. In the encounter, three terrorists were killed,” a police spokesman said.
