Jammu, November 14

A song of the Bollywood movie on Kashmir after abrogation of Section 370 in J&K was released here on Thursday.

Director of the film, ‘Kashmir – The final resolution’, produced by Atlantic Film, Yuvraj Kumar said Kashmir was now open for Bollywood with amazing local talent.

A song from the film, “Chu mubarak”, which is a fusion of Hindi and Kashmiri language, was launched at a function here.

Yuvraj Kumar, who has been doing research on Kashmir for the past many years, had conceived the idea of making a film on the composite culture of Kashmir.

Talking about the film, Yuvraj said, “The idea was to show the composite culture of Kashmir to the world. We want to show the world how Kashmir can be another Switzerland and we should never pay heed to those who are trying to take Kashmir on way to Syria.”

“I personally welcome the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir as it will boost the economy of Kashmir and will also pave way for Bollywood to start shooting in Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir is as beautiful as Switzerland or any other part of the world. J&K is now open for shooting of films with amazing talent,” he added.

He said most of the film was shot in Kashmir and 90 per cent of the artistes are from J&K. He also informed that the movie would be released pan India after January 26, 2020.

The film revisits the history of Kashmir, analyses the problem of the past and provides a practical solution to the Jammu & Kashmir issue after Article 370 was abrogated.

The film is directed by Yuvraj Kumar. The screenplay is written by Kashmiri Pandit writer Sonal Sher and the main lead is played by Kashmiri Pandit actress Rippy Koul. The music of the film promotes ethnic Kashmiri music and the songs are sung by the Kashmiri singer Neerja Pandit and Abha Hanjura.
