JAMMU: Dogra Law College organised a panchayat visit for the sixth semester students of the LLB course on Saturday.



Jammu:  Dogra Law College organised a panchayat visit for the sixth semester students of the LLB course on Saturday. It was a part of their academic curriculum wherein the students visited the Jinder Mehlu panchayat in the Miran Sahib block and met sarpanch Seema Devi.  During interaction with the students, Seema Devi explained different functions of the panchayat. She also gave an insight into the steps that the panchayat had taken to resolve the disputes of the people. The sarpanch also discussed about the government funds being provided for the development of the villages.  TNS

Amar Kshatriya Sabha chief feliciated  

Jammu:  The Nami Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, felicitated Narayan Singh Jamwal, president, Amar Kshatriya Sabha, with “Sanstha Samman Award” at a function here on Saturday.  Abhinav Sharma, president, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Ved Prakash Sharma, president, J&K Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, presided over the function. 4 detained youths to handed over to kin

Srinagar:  The Army on Saturday handed over four youths, who were detained while trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) for arms training, to their families. Four missing youths, including two from south Kashmir, were detained by the Army along the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Uri area during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday when they were on way to exfiltrate to PoK.
