Manjushree celebrates annual day

Tiny tots of Manjushree, a branch of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, organised a glittering performance on their annual day. The theme of the programme was Rhyme and rhythm with nature.

Tiny tots of Manjushree, a branch of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, organised a glittering performance on their annual day. The theme of the programme was Rhyme and rhythm with nature. The occasion was graced by Prof Renu Nanda, Prof and Dean, Faculty of Education, Jammu University, while the guest of honour was Rev Father Shaiju Chacko, Manager, apostolic Carmel Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani. Chief guest Prof Renu Nanda appreciated the efforts of the staff and students of Manjushree in putting forth a mesmerising performance.

World Post Day celebrated 

Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua, celebrated World Post Day. Students of Class I showcased their talent by preparing beautiful cards for Diwali wishing their parents. They then visited the post office to post their greeting cards. They met the postmaster and all other officials in the post office and learnt about the role of a post office. Mili R Sumbria, appreciated the efforts and initiative taken by the teaching fraternity namely Smiley, Radha and Suman (Class in-charges). 

NSUI starts membership drive

The National Student Union of India (NSUI) launched a state-wide membership drive to strengthen the organisation. The drive was formally launched from the congress headquarters, Jammu, under the leadership of NSUI state president Raqeeq Ahmed Khan. Raqeeq Khan said the Indian National Congress was a single party, which provideed students an opportunity to grow as politician and prove their mettle. Vikas Badhoria, states general secretary of the NSUI said that state unit would try and maximise its membership.

Inter-school speedball contest

Crescent Public School, Jammu, organised an inter-school speedball competition. The J&K Sports Speedball Association has extended support. On this occasion, chief guest Ravi Tikku, president of theJ&K Sports Speedball Association, was present along with Sunny Nanda, general secretary of the association. Bhavna Koushal, principal of the school, was also present on the occasion. Injella Malik, Manas, Sanchi, and Vansh won the gold medal. Silver medals were clinched by Srishiti Sharma, Yug, Analika and Harshit. The bronze medal winners were Ishrat, Mohammad Fazan , Vrishti and Anirudh from Class VI.
