The "Shaheedi Sthal' outside GGM Science College where the students of 1966 agitation for the rights of Jammu died is in a shambles and there are no caretakers. Black Day is observed every year by the students on October 16 to 18 but after that no one cares for the upkeep of the memorial. Even the so called representatives of Jammu have just given hollow promises but nothing concrete has been done. — Ranjeet Singh, Canal road
Poor sanitation at Nai Basti
The JMC's utter failure to keep Jammu clean is visible in every part of city. Nai Basti is perfect example of the collapse of civic bodies despite the fact that people had voted in large numbers to elect representatives in the municipal elections. Its our request to the authorities to lift the solid waste daily from our area as it is an open invitation to stray dogs and cattle which roam the area. — Darshan Gupta, Charanjeet Singh, Nai Basti residents
Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
