Pak shells Poonch area, civilian injured

Rajouri: A day after the Indian Air Force deployed its fighters after spotting two Pakistani jets near the Line of Control in Poonch, the Pakistan army on Thursday resorted to heavy shelling and firing in the Dhallan and Gulpur areas in the district.



Rajouri: A day after the Indian Air Force deployed its fighters after spotting two Pakistani jets near the Line of Control in Poonch, the Pakistan army on Thursday resorted to heavy shelling and firing in the Dhallan and Gulpur areas in the district. Noorkote resident Kamal Din (52) was injured in the shelling in the Dhallan sector. The Pakistan army opened firing with small and heavy arms at Indian forward posts in the Dhallan and Gulpur on Thursday evening. “The Indian troops have been retaliating strongly and effectively in both sectors,” said PRO, defence, Lt Col Davender Anand.
