With the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, leading private builders have started coming to J&K to build world-class residential and commercial buildings.

The Gupta Builders and Promoters (GBP) Group, a leading real estate developer of Punjab, has opened its office in Jammu on Saturday, with a plan to expand their network in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Jammu and Kashmir has lot of potential in real estate and with the abrogation of Article 370, it will boost the market in the newly formed Union Territory,” said Anupam Gupta, Sales and Marketing Director of the GBP Group.

“We have projects worth Rs 8,000 crore at present in Punjab and now we are looking for land in good location in Jammu to develop hotels, commercial and private property. We have a lot of clients in Punjab from Jammu and Kashmir and who always wanted us to come to J&K,” he added.

He said the government had also approached them with offers that they would provide us land to develop world-class infrastructure for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“In the first phase we are expanding our network in Jammu and later we will go to the Kashmir valley as well,” he said while addressing the media in Jammu on Saturday, adding that “J&K is a beautiful place and now we are here to make it more beautiful for the people of Jammu and Kashmir”.
