Posters have surfaced in the south Kashmir region informing the people about the benefits of abrogation of Article 370 in an apparent bid to counter the “negative fallout” out of scrapping of J&K’s special status.

The posters appeared in khrew and its adjoining localities days after Article 370 was scrapped by Parliament.

The posters in Urdu surfaced when restrictions were in place and residents alleged that these were pasted at multiple places in the area by unknown security agencies.”Who else could have pasted these posters when restrictions were in place “ said a resident in the Khrew area.

“I firmly believe these posters which detail the benefits of the scrapping of Article 370 and 35A were pasted by the security agencies”, said a resident. However, most of these posters have now been removed by the angry residents , which detail 10 benefits of the scrapping of J&K’s special status. The prices of land will increase which will benefit the residents and those associated with tourism trade, reads the poster, adding that the Centre will also announce a financial package for the development of the region.
