Three-time MLA and former Minister Mohammad Khalil Bandh from South Kashmir’s Pulwama announced his resignation from the PDP on Wednesday.

Bandh said that the party compromised the basic principles of democracy, as senior leaders were sidelined in decision making.

Bandh won the Pulwama assembly seat for the PDP in the 2002, 2008 and 2014 assembly elections.

His exit is yet another jolt to PDP as at least 10 former ministers and legislators have left the party since last year, after the PDP-BJP coalition Government collapsed on June 19, 2018.
