Jammu, May 10

The University of Jammu’s Business School at the Bhaderwah campus organised a guest lecture for the students of MBA, BBA and BCom (Honours).

The speaker on the occasion was Shazia Bukhari from the School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. She delivered a talk on the topics “positive organisation behaviours” and “creating effective teams”. Both topics are relevant in the present dynamic organisation culture.

Bukhari explained the HRW Model to increase the workplace performance and highlighted the importance of subordination of individual interests to the organisation’s interests for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Elaborating on the concept of effective team building, she pointed out that in a team, each member is as important as the other in order to achieve the desired goals. She said the members of a team always complement and supplement the efforts of their teammates to create the concept of synergy. During the session, students asked a number of questions and entered into a healthy discussion on the topics.

The event was possible due to the support of Prof Anil Raina, Rector, Bhaderwah campus. He congratulated Business School for taking the initiative for the holistic development of the students. — TNS
