Trust awards meritorious school, varsity students

A programme was organised by the Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Memorial Trust to awarded 37 meritorious students of Udhampur for their exceptional performance in board and university examinations at the Brahma Rishi Bawra Shanti Vidya Peeth in Udhampur.

On this occasion, Padma Shri awardee Jitendra Udhampuri was the chief guest while District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar and Swami Chinmaya Jyoti were the guests of honour.

Shewatketu Singh, Trust secretary, highlighted the various activities taken up by the Trust such as felicitation of martyrs’ families, organisation of eye camps, honouring meritorious students, providing uniforms and other stationery articles to the poor and needy students.

In all, 37 meritorious students who performed exceptionally well in the board and university examinations in Udhampur district were honoured by the Trust. They were presented a memento and shawl.
