THE Jammu Municipal Corporation is cleaning drains regularly to avoid blockage. However, it doesn''t solve the problem as the muck and solid waste dumped alongside the roads find its way back into the drains.

However, it doesn't solve the problem as the muck and solid waste dumped alongside the roads find its way back into the drains. Eco-friendly kiosks    

Use of wood to decorate kiosks at Gandhi Nagar is a welcome move. However, a need to bring about a change in the way food is served is also essential. Use of plastic plates should be eliminated and bio-degradable products should be used, instead. It's about time to do away with plastic and polythenes. — Updesh Kaul, Anand Nagar
