School students, who have creative niche for doodling, are invited to showcase their imagination online with Doodle4Google contest, based on the theme 'What Inspires Me?' Students are required to create a story or a thought, which inspires them, by using any materials from crayon to clay.

Eligibility: Students studying in Class I to X or their parents or guardians can also enter the contest on their behalf. 

Details: National winner's doodle will be displayed on Google.com of India, college scholarship of Rs 5,00,000, technology package of Rs 2,00,000 for his or her school, a certificate or trophy of achievement, a trip to Google India and Googley Swag. Four group winners and twenty national finalists will also be given various rewards.

Gates Cambridge Global Scholarship

Gates Cambridge Scholarship programme by Bill and Melinda Gates offers donations to students with the potential to prove academic brilliance with full-time postgraduate degree in programmes offered by the University of Cambridge. 

Eligibility: Graduate or post-graduate candidates with proven academic excellence planning to pursue PhD for three years, MSc or MLitt for two years, or any one year post- graduate course offered by the university can apply for the call.

Details: Scholar will be provided university composition fee, £17,500 for 12 months as maintenance allowance, one economy class airfare at beginning and end of the course, inbound visa costs and immigration health charges.

Deadline: October 10, 2018

How to apply: Applications can be made online only and 500 words statement is also expected by the candidate on about their fit with the Gates Cambridge programme.

The Next Genius scholarship programme

The Next Genius Foundation, a charitable trust in India is offering scholarships to outstanding high schoolers to pursue under- graduation programme from chosen universities in the US.

Eligibility: Class XII students, who have cleared the same in any recognised school located in India. The candidates must clear two level selection process. 

Details: Selected scholar will be assisted with full and half tuition fee waiver as scholarship award in selected partner colleges.

Macquarie University scholarships 

Macquarie University, one of Australia's top 10 universities will be offering scholarships worth AUD$10,000 annually to recognise outstanding Indian students, with a focus on supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students across a wide range of programs. 

This annual scholarship will cover  tuition fees covering all coursework programmes commencing in 2019. This would mean a student enrolling in a 4-year undergraduate degree would receive $40,000 over four years. The scholarship will enable Indian students to achieve their career goals by improving the affordability of acquiring an internationally recognised degree from a globally renowned university. Some of the most popular study areas at Macquarie include Management, Applied Finance, Accounting, Arts, Cyber Security, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, International Business, Management, Psychology, Public Health and Science. Macquarie has seen a steady flow of enrolments from high achieving Indian students over the past few years, many of whom have availed of the University's generous scholarships.

Applicants for all 2019 scholarships will be required to meet the English and academic requirements for the course they have selected.

The deadline for accepting these scholarships is December 21, 2018 for Session 1 (February 2019) and June 15, 2019 for Session 2  (July 2019).

Fair and Lovely Foundation financial aid

Fair & Lovely Career Foundation is inviting applications to select 55 college-going female students. This programme intends to help girls who require financial aid, by covering their education-related expenses on the basis of merit and need, for which applications are invited from all across the country.

Eligibility: Female applicants, who have cleared Class XII from any stream with 60 per cent marks in Class X and XII examination, of age between 15-30 years can apply. The applicant’s family income should not be more than Rs 6L p.a. The candidate can be from any given wide range of graduation, and post-graduation programme (as mentioned in the application site). Applicants preparing for Banking Services, CA-CS-ICWA, CAT-MBA, Civil Services, Government Services, IIT-JEE-Engineering, PMT-AIIMS-MBBS, Language-English Communication are also welcomed.

Details: One-time scholarship of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 is offered.
