Fellowships for Biomedical Scientists

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the Department of Health Research (DHR) announces this fellowship programme for young Indian biomedical scientists who wish to pursue research projects. 

Eligibility: Indian applicants with MS, MD or PhD. in health and biomedical research fields with experience of three years or more in teaching or research roles are eligible for this fellowship. 

Details: Selected fellows will be provided a chance to conduct the stipulated research project for a duration of 6 to 12 months with monthly stipend of $3,000, excursion airfare, and a contingency grant of $ 50,000 for research related expenses.

All India Scholarship Test Exam (AISTE) 

The Ability Education Trust invites applications from school students across the nation to award more than 200 top performers of the All India Scholarship Test Exam (AISTE) 2019. Students will appear in the national-level examination and will be awarded based on their combined merit and financial need.

Eligibility: Students from Class IV to Class XII of any recognised school/institution in any state of India can apply for this scholarship.

Details: National-level toppers of AISTE can win scholarships up to Rs 90,000. State level toppers may also get scholarship up to Rs 30,000. Remaining top 200 performers will be awarded scholarships worth Rs 5,000. Additional state performers will receive book-stationary expenses/benefits.

How to apply: Online applications are accepted for this scholarship. There is an application fees of Rs 249 to appear for the AISTE 2019 examination.

MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship 

MPOWER Financing is providing scholarship opportunity for students to study at one of its 200+ partner universities of US and Canada, which include all the Ivy League schools and other top schools such as USC, NYU, MIT, Columbia, UCLA, Penn, Michigan.

Eligibility: The applicant must be 18 years old, accepted or enrolled at one of partner universities, and be a US/Canadian student visa holder.

Details: Scholarship worth $5,000 is offered to the selected scholars.

HP Udaan Scholarship  

HP Inc. India is giving this scholarship to students of economically weaker section, pursuing their higher studies in post-matric courses, under-graduation and diploma programs from any accredited institute. A total of 750 scholars will be selected, where 50 per cent seats are reserved for the female candidates.

Eligibility: Students who have cleared Class X in 2018 and currently enrolled for 1-year diploma/ITI or two-year HSC/Diploma/ITI programmes. Students who have cleared Class XII in 2018 and currently enrolled for three-year diploma or three-year UG programmes. Candidates must have minimum 60 per cent marks in last qualifying examination & having family income less than Rs 4 lakh p.a. are eligible.

Details: For Class XI-XII/ITI/Diploma, INR 20K p.a.; for three-year degree/diploma, Rs 30,000 p.a.; one-time Rs 20,000 for 1 Year ITI/Diploma.
