SBI General Suraksha Support Scholarship Programme

SBI General Insurance Company Limited invites applications from COVID-19 affected students of Class IX to XII, and Graduation (General and Professional) courses. The scholarship is meant to support students who have lost their parent(s) or whose earning family members have lost their employment (or livelihood) during COVID-19 pandemic to complete their education.

Eligibility: Open for Indian students who are studying in Class 9 to 12 and undergraduate (general and professional) courses. Students who have been through any of the following two crisis situations – Lost their parent(s)/earning family member since January 2020 or earning family member lost their job/employment during COVID-19 pandemic. The annual family income of the applicant must not be more than Rs 6 lakh from all sources.

Details: Up to Rs 38,500

 Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship Programme 

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. is giving young students an opportunity to pursue their academic/career aspirations by providing them with scholarships for education. This scholarship program provides financial aid to students pursuing studies at various post-matric and undergraduate levels to continue their education and proceed towards a career of their choice. 

Eligibility: Students who have passed Class X with at least 75% marks or Class XII with at least 60% marks in 2021 board exams are eligible to apply for the scholarship programme for pursuing their higher secondary, 3-year graduation, 4-year engineering,  and Diploma courses respectively. Annual Family income of all applicants must be less than Rs 5 lakh per annum. 

Details: Selected scholars can avail scholarship award of up to Rs 30,000 per year for up to 3 years of studies depending on their current level of education

 Kotak Shiksha Nidhi

Kotak Shiksha Nidhi invites applications from school and college students who have lost a primary earning member of their family due to COVID-19, for continuity of their education from Class 1st to diploma and graduation level courses.

Eligibility:

Loss of both parents

Loss of one of the parents

Loss of primary earning member of the family (other than parents)

Applicants must be school or college going students aged between age 6 to 22 years i.e., class I to diploma or graduation course

Details:Selection and the quantum of assistance under Kotak Shiksha Nidhi will be based on fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and will be at the discretion of Kotak Education Foundation.

 IIT Delhi Department of Physics (DP) Research Associateship 

IIT Delhi Department of Physics (DP) Research Associateship (RA) 2021 is a research opportunity offered to Ph.D. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - "Development of Shape Memory Oxide Thin-films for Aerospace Applications: Understanding the Phase-switching Behavior, Related Defect Formation, and Shape Recovery Process. (RP04147G)". 

Eligibility: The fellowship is open for candidates who have completed a Ph.D. degree in the area of Theoretical/Computational Condensed Matter Physics (In case the Ph.D. degree is not available, a provisional certificate can be submitted) and hold experience in first-principles simulations using Density functional theory and based methods. The candidates must also have a good knowledge of computer programming and prior experience of using DFT-based software like VASP, QUANTUM ESPRESSO, ABINIT, etc.

Details: Rs 47,000 per month plus 24% HRA
