In order to felicitate students of exit classes, who have passed their examinations but have not been able to get a proper result due to reappear or re-evaluation in previous semester, Panjab University (PU) has launched an Email-Id [email protected] wherein the students can get confidential results for taking further admission.

“We are issuing marks within few hours to help students so that they can take further admissions. Earlier, they had to submit Rs 500 and had to wait for getting mark sheets. Now, we are trying to send all the details directly to the beneficiaries or to the institutions. The students can inform the same to the institutions where they would like to apply,” said Prof Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examination.

“The students are required to submit a request for requirement of confidential result at the mentioned email and the concerned branch will send the results,” said Singh.

Majority of results declared

The CoE said that results for most of the courses had been declared. “Majority of the results have been announced by the administration. And the rest will be declared within a day. We have conducted such blended mode of examination for the first time and every team member has done an appreciable job in compiling the results,” added Singh.

As many as 80,000 students of undergraduate, postgraduate and other professional courses, including USOL and private candidates, had appeared for the exams that started on September 17. The first-ever blended (online/offline) mode examinations were concluded on October 2 and the majority ofthe results are out within a record time of 10 days.

The exams continued for 14 days continuously, including weekends. As many as 1,400 exams were conducted in three slots — 9 am to 11 am, 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm.

The exam for Environment and Road Safety Education was also conducted online. For the facilitation of the candidates from far-flung areas, a special nodal officer was deputed to resolve their issues.
