Yale University is inviting applications for YYGS 2020. Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is an academic summer enrichment programme for outstanding high school students from around the world. Each summer, students from over 125 countries participate in one of five interdisciplinary, 2-week sessions at Yale’s historic campus.

The YYGS 2020 session is offering sessions in humanities, social sciences, STEM, and a new cross-disciplinary track that incorporates all the above. The YYGS 2020 program is divided into three sessions starting from June 21 to July 31.

Yale also provides over $3.4 million in need-based financial aid equally to both domestic and international students, offered as discounts covering up to 100 per cent of tuition costs.

With no grades or course credit, YYGS encourages students to approach all aspects of the programme creatively with the understanding that they set their own limits.

Students receive an electronic certificate of completion at the end of the session.

The diverse and inclusive community at YYGS enhances learning by inviting students to analyse issues from multiple perspectives. Living and learning alongside peers from around the world allows students to broaden their own world views by learning about countries and cultures they have never encountered before.

For early applications, students can apply by November 12, 2019 and the regular date for applications is January 15, 2020.

In their endeavor to make the preparation more effective, Pearson, the world’s leading digital learning company, recently launched PTE Academic 79, a practice resource to aid effective preparation for the test. PTE Academic 79 Plus is a step by step guide to all task types in PTE Academic that empowers test takers to achieve their dream score. The company also introduced the PTE Academic Official Practice app as a digital resource. These resources will assist learners and test takers to prepare for the language proficiency exams, especially Pearson Test of English (Academic), to pursue education abroad.

The newly launched app includes a Q&A section which will give detailed, section-wise information about the test, the process and the criteria for score. The content available on the app is a combination of item/question information, practice and key information for test preparation. The Study Planner feature in the app assists the user by creating a calendarized plan, as per time available before the exam.
