“Alia Bhatt is the game-changer”

Sharmila Tagore has recently penned down a column in which she wrote that Alia Bhatt is the game-changer in Bollywood. The actress believes that Alia Bhatt balances both commercial and critically acclaimed films brilliantly and can evolve as a master in her craft in the coming years. Talking about her films, Sharmila Tagore writes, “Alia took the uncharted path by taking up Highway in which she didn’t have an easy and glamorous role. Likewise, in Udta Punjab, where she touched the hearts of the audience with her powerful performance.” 

The veteran actress also addresses the topic of nepotism and writes that although choosing Alia’s name as a game-changer may seem like promoting nepotism, however, Alia has gone beyond the crutches of her lineage. She says, “If there’s one aspect of Alia I wish we could all emulate, it’s her ability to laugh at herself. It’s what makes her truly special and adds to her appeal as a woman.”
