A leaf from history
Role call: Rati Pandey

How important is the character of Anusuya in the show Porus?

Anusuya is one of the important characters in the show. That is precisely the reason I chose this character.

You are portraying the role of mother at such a young age, what are your thoughts on this?

I am portraying the role of a mother of a legendary king and as an actor; one should not limit themselves to a particular character or age bracket. It is, however, a challenge and I am up to it.

How has your journey been so far?

My journey in the television industry has been very different and it has been learning and growing experience. Taking up a historical show has been both challenging and adventurous.

How is this show different from the rest?

Porus is ‘incomparable’ to any of the historical or mythological shows presented on the Indian television till date. Wait and watch!

Has the working pattern of television changed?

Yes, there has been a big change. Today viewers have a choice and they can watch different shows.

What inspires you?

My fans, who expect something better from me each time.

What is the philosophy you live by?

Live and let live.
