Heavy on the head

In the show Aladdin—Naam Toh Suna Hoga, the headgear worn by the evil wazir, Zafar, portrayed by Aamir Dalvi, is almost three kilos! The yards of fabric and the blue stones embedded in it make the headgear really heavy. 

Says Aamir, “The heavy headgear is the character’s requirement. It gives Zafar that towering presence, which makes him look like the devil himself. Wearing it while delivering my lines is surely a difficult task. However, the fact that it adds to the grandeur of my character makes it worth it. It is so precious to me that there is a special place reserved for the headgear in my make-up room.”
