Children's day: Here's how our favourite child artistes are celebrating

You can learn many things from children, how much patience you have, for instance... said American humourist Franklin P. Jones. Going by the professionalism that these child artistes are showing on screen, there is a lot more to learn than what Jones thought! 

This Children’s Day, we meet some bright ones who have earned name and fame at a young age. They share their plans for the day.

Higher aims

Dream of becoming a versatile actor is keeping Krish Chauhan, who plays Kush in the show Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush, on the sets this Children’s Day. Deriving inspiration to work hard from his father, Krish shares, “I would be shooting in all probability. I will have a little fun on the sets with my co-actors — Harshit Kabra and Nitant.”  Aiming to chart the path of his three idols — Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff —this little guy does get intimidated at times regarding how to balance acting and studies, but his friends and didi step up to help.

Proud heart 

Harshit Kabra, who essays the role of Luv on the show Ram Siya Ke Luv, is excited that mega-episodes of Ashwemedha Yudh will be aired on this Children’s Day. Aiming at a lead role in a Bollywood movie makes him carry on working. “I see myself making India proud as an actor. I aspire to do inspirational movies, which give out a message. I wish to see my country as the strongest and the best among all,” shares the little master.

Little angel

Being a popular actor along with an expert doctor is Kavina Tak aka Param’s long-term goal. “For the Children’s Day, first I’ll celebrate with my friends in school. Then I will go to the sets of Choti Sarrdaarni, cut a cake with the cast and crew,” says the little girl, who plays the sardar boy in the show. “I start my day with studies and later when I have some break time from my shoot, I love playing with my toys.”

Siblings’ play

Mehak Mansa and Harsh Mansa are a brother-sister duo. They have inherited the love for acting from their father. Been part of films like Harjeeta and Subedar Joginder Singh, respectively, and many more in between them, they are looking forward to Children’s Day. While Mehak is hoping to have some gala time at school, Harsh has his eyes set on the cake and fast food that the family is going to indulge in post it. 

Talking of food, Mehak is very happy about Butter Toast, a short film that’s going to the Sikh Lens Festival, California. “I have acted in it along with my dad,” he shares jubilantly. Fans of Aamir Khan, Sonam Bajwa and Jacqueline Fernandez, the siblings want to make acting their career. 

Balancing act

Garry Dhillon is looking forward to November 14 for having fun with his friends in school. A stint in Munda Hi Chahida and Kala Shah Kala, this eight-year-old holds Salman Khan in high esteem and aims to emulate him eventually. As for balancing fun, studies and shoots, it’s his ‘genie’ mamma who helps him strike a balance! 

Professional tone 

Sejal Gupta, a class five student of the RIMT World School, has been a part of the movie Mission Mangal and many commercials. With an ultimate aim to become Miss World, Sejal has started early. In a very professional tone, she shares, “This Children’s Day, I am going to an NGO to share things like pencils and notebooks with children who cannot afford them.”

Well, starting early is the key to success in this very competitive world!

Shopping spree

I demand new stuff every Children’s Day. Like each year, this time too, shopping with my parents is the plan. I wish my fans and friends get to enjoy as much as I do! — Aakriti Sharma

Fun day

The day really excites me, as my parents make it a point that we spend a fun day together. Although we have a holiday in school on Children’s Day, but a day prior to it we are given different books to read, which I am really fond of. — Vansh Sayani 

No study

Every Children’s Day is a ‘no study day’ and I am spoilt to the maximum. In schools we remember Chacha Nehru and have fun events. — Atharv Sharma

Charitable heart

I usually go to an orphanage on Children’s Day with my parents in a bid to make the children there feel special. My parents get me presents too. A huge teddy bear that they got me years back is still with me. — Akshita Mudgal
