Comedy is the king

In the upcoming months, Bollywood will see a drastic change in terms of storyline and content. Less drama, more comedy! Let’s take a look at the upcoming Bollywood films that aim to tickle your funny bone:

Horror is fun

Upcoming film Stree which will see Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao together is touted to be as the first of its kind horror comedy film. Even while announcing it, leading lady Sharaddha Kapoor had posted, “And we have a title! Shoot starts on our hilariously scary Stree.”

Family pack

Dharmendra, Bobby Deol, and Sunny Deol are back with a bang and are all set to enthral the audiences with their new film Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. The film marks the third instalment of the Yamla Pagla Deewana series. If the poster of the film is anything to go by, then the awesome trio are at their quirkiest best. This film, we ensure will be a family comedy entertainer.

Slice of life

Karwaan, starring Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar, is a film that tells us the story of the three main characters as they embark on a crazy journey. The film promises to be a fun-on-the-go movie with a great message. With Irrfan’s comic timing, this movie seems to be a very promising one!

Musical note

Fanney Khan, starring Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Rajkummar Rao, revolves around a father going the extra mile to fulfil his daughter’s dream of being a singer. The film’s trailer was well received and everyone loved the comic timing of Rajkummar Rao.

Social thought

Batti Gul Meter Chalu, starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, is a light-hearted but impactful social drama that every Indian citizen will relate to. It will tickle the audience’s funny bone as well as leave a message. The movie is due for release on August 31.

Get romantic

Happy Phir Bhaag Jaayegi, which is a sequel to the 2016 Happy Bhaag Jaayegi, is a sweet joyride. Diana Penty, who was a part of the earlier film as well, said, “It is funnier than the first one.” Sonakshi Sinha is the latest entrant to this film.
