Disha to romance Salman in Bharat

Salman Khan’s Bharat is one of the most anticipated films. Besides Priyanka Chopra and Sunil Grover, Baaghi 2 actress Disha Patani will also be a part of Bharat. 

Disha will play the role of a trapeze artiste in a 1960s circus. Her character is pivotal to the story. She will be romancing Salman during his younger days in the movie.

The circus segment in Bharat is director Ali Abbas Zafar’s ode to his idol Raj Kapoor and his cult film, Mera Naam Joker. Giving more information about Disha’s role, Ali Abbas Zafar says, “The pairing of Salman and Disha in a circus set-up in the ’60s is unusual and exciting. She is a promising star and for this character, we needed a girl who looked vulnerable and beautiful yet had the physicality of an athlete. Disha fit the bill perfectly.” 

Bharat is an official adaptation of the South Korean movie – Ode To My Father. The Korean film depicted the history of the country from the 1950s to present-day through the life of a man.
