Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh raked in about Rs 70.83 crore over the weekend and is soon expected to enter the “100-crore club”.

With an opening of Rs 20.21 crore on Friday, the movie has also delivered the biggest opening of both Kapoor and Advani’s career.

The movie continued to rake in big numbers with a collection of Rs 22.71 crore on Saturday and Rs 27.91 crore on Sunday.

According to analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie is performing well in metros as well as Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities and was released in 3123 screens across the country.

Despite the big numbers, the movie has received criticism for a “misogynistic and toxic” portrayal.

Kabir Singh is remake of Telugu hit “Arjun Reddy”.
