Be it for highest TRPs, good comic timing or even for the comments on Pulwama terror attack, the second season of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ has been making headlines since the day it aired on Sony Entertainment.

Comedian Kapil Sharma with his new season has welcomed a special guest, Archana Puran Singh.

A video surfaced online where the comedian can be seen welcoming the actress.

As Navjot Singh Sidhu was busy with prior commitments; Archana filled in his shoes for two episodes.

But a day after the Pulwama attack, Sidhu’s comments resulted in a public outrage.

People on Twitter demanded that Sidhu be removed from the show.

But Kapil supported Sidhu, saying, “Sacking him (Sidhu) is no solution."

There was speculation whether Sidhu would be permanently replaced by Archana.

In conversation with ‘Bombay Times’, Archana spoke about Sidhu being replaced, saying: “I had shot for two episodes because he was busy with his political commitments. In the past too, many a time when Sidhu had other commitments, I had stepped in for him”.

Reports say Sidhu may have been sacked from the show. The cricketer-turned politician, however, said he had no official confirmation about his removal.
