Kathie Lee Gifford, who has co-hosted NBC’s Today along with Hoda Kotb for more than a decade, will leave the show in April. Kathie said, “I have something to share with everybody, and it’s bittersweet, as these things always are. I’ve been here almost 11 years. Thought I would stay one year, but something happened along the way— I fell in love with a beautiful Egyptian goddess. And now, when it’s our 11th anniversary, I’m going to be leaving the Today show.”
Kathie’s departure will mark the end of a pairing that has blossomed into a morning favourite. When Kathie and Hoda were first matched together in 2008, it garnered a lot of attention. Natalie Morales, Ann Curry and Kotb were the hour’s original hosts before Gifford joined the show in 2008.
