Quite in bad taste

We all are aware of the infamous fight between Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan over Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 2003. Now, after 16 years, everyone has moved on in life. Aishwarya is happily married with Abhishek Bachchan and they have an adorable daughter, Aaradhya. Even Vivek is also married and has a daughter. However, on Monday afternoon, Vivek surprised everyone when he took to twitter and shared a meme featuring not just Aishwarya and Salman, but also Abhishek Bachchan and Aaradhya. He captioned the meme as, “Haha! creative! No politics here....just life.”

This tweet certainly did not go down well. The actor was slammed by twitterati as well as celebrities. Ace badminton player Jwala Gutta wrote, “Extremely absurd of you to tweet this!! Disappointing!” Journalist Nidhi Razdan found Vivek’s tweet ‘distasteful’ and told him to ‘move on’. Actress Sonam Kapoor responded on Nidhi Razdan’s tweet, calling out the meme ‘disgusting and classless’. Writer Rana Ayyub said, “This is sick.” Activist Sadhavi Khosla wrote, “Very cheap @vivekoberoi!! This ain’t a joke. Let someone show this to your wife. I always had sympathies for you but after seeing this post, all I have to say is that Aishwarya made a sensible decision and learn something from @BeingSalmanKhan on how to behave!”
