Rajkummar Rao is Turram Khan

Rajkummar Rao, who is riding high on the immense success of his recent release Stree, has signed one more film titled Turram Khan. The film is a social comedy, which is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. It will be directed by Hansal Mehta, who is collaborating with Rajkummar Rao for the fifth time after Shahid, Aligarh, Citylights and Omerta. They also worked together for a web series titled Bose: Dead or Alive. Actress Nushrat Bharucha of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will be paired opposite Rajkummar Rao in this film.

Reportedly, the film will be produced by Ajay Devgn along with Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. It will go on floors in November this year. Hansal Mehta shares, “I am delighted to be collaborating with Luv on this comedy. It is a new chapter in my filmography with Raj (Rajkummar), whose success I see as a vindication of my belief in him. It is also wonderful to be working with Nushrat, whose work I’ve followed and liked immensely in the past. This is my first out-and-out comedy and it is like making my debut all over again.”
