Controversy over popular talk show Koffee with Karan refuses to die down.

Days after cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s comments on the show prompted the Board of Control for Cricket in India to ban them for two matches, the latest to draw fire is actor Ranveer Singh.

Ranveer, whose film ‘Simmba’ has crossed Rs 350 crore mark, is now being called out for his “sexist” statements in an old episode on Koffee with Karan.

In a 2011 interview with Anushka Sharma, the ‘Simmba’ actor asks the actress: "Hey, you want your a** pinched? I'm right here". To which a shocked Anushka is seen saying: "Don't talk to me like that".

And throughout the interview, the show’s host, filmmaker Karan Johar, is seen laughing.

In the same interview, Ranveer can be heard talking about Kareena Kapoor Khan.

He says, "I went from child to boy" watching her in a swimsuit.

But his loyal fans have supported him. They found another episode of ‘Koffee with Karan’ where Ranveer can be heard apologising for his comments.

He says: “It was a disaster because it was my first big talk show. I didn't know what to say".

Ranveer added, "I now know better. I have got my guards up".

Ranveer’s fan club even backed him up saying he regrets the comments.
