Rock the retro look…

Kangana Ranaut

Be it polka dots, high side buns, bell-bottoms, or oversized coloured shades— retro fashion has always found its way in current fashion trends. With Mouni Roy rocking the old school Bengali sari look in upcoming film Gold, let’s take a look at few of the retro looks recreated by Bollywood divas.

Vintage dungarees

We love how Sonam Kapoor gave us the retro-chic vibes in Sanju when she adorned a printed top with dungarees. On a day out with friends, you can definitely rock this look with some cool and comfortable sneakers and funky shades.

Bang(s) on

China being such a strong point of upcoming film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, the makers have recreated the iconic number Chin Chin Chu, sung by Geeta Dutt and danced to, with extraordinary flair by the incomparable Helen. Sonakshi Sinha will be seen dancing to it in a retro avatar with front hair bangs and the traditional Chinese costume.

Polka dots

Polka dots are an all-time favourite retro look. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore a series of polka dots in her movie Action Replay. We totally loved her overall look with oversized shades, neck scarves, polka dots - so old school, so classic!

Jazz it up

As a part of Bombay Velvet, Anushka Sharma had several song and dance performances, where she was seen wearing glitzy, flowery and glamorous outfits. For a retro night party with some DJ magic, this look rocks. Glitter, sequences and all things bling!

Winged eyeliner

The most classic and iconic eye makeup look of the 70’s was the winged eyeliner look. Rani Mukerji in Ranbir Kapoor’s debut film Saawariya had that look which was a recreation of the old times. Thick, bold and vintage!

Classy bob

Kangana Ranaut upped her fashion game recently at Cannes Film Festival. She chose to keep it classy yet basic in the black sari that she paired with a basic sleeveless black blouse. Her hair and make-up artist added an element of drama to Kangana’s look with the winged eye make-up, matte lips and a retro faux bob hair-style. So retro, so chic!
