MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are now officially wife and man as they exchanged the wedding vows at Lake Como in Italy with their family and close friends in attendance. The first photos from the wedding have been released.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are now officially wife and man as they exchanged the wedding vows at Lake Como in Italy with their family and close friends in attendance. The first photos from the wedding have been released.

After pre-wedding functions, including engagement, mehndi and sangeet, the couple tied knot in two different ceremonies – Konkani and Sindhi. Amidst all the security, while one after another these functions were performed, fans kept waiting for the pictures of the newlyweds for long three days.

To kill this long wait, some funny memes made their way to social media.

Not just the fans, one such meme was posted by none other than Union Minister Smriti Irani.

She posted a picture of a Skelton sitting on a bench and wrote, “When you have waited for #deepveer #wedding #pics for too longgggg…” Well, we loved Smriti’s sense of humour! Meanwhile, as soon as the news of Deepika and Ranveer got married broke, congratulatory wishes started pouring in for the couple.
