Thanks to Bollywood, we have had the opportunity to witness some of the most beautiful places on the 70mm screen. Our films have had a long standing relationship with love songs and many story plots also require to be shot in exotic hill stations. Here, we enlist a few such picturesque locations that have helped us savour the beauty of nature on screen. 

In the lap of Himalayas 
Kedarnath

Resting in the lap of the mighty Himalayas, Kedarnath is a beautiful religious town in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand that is important because of the ancient Kedarnath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The movie, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan, showed picturesque locations and was one of the plus points of the movie.

For the love of Kashmir 
Raazi

Raazi, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, has been shot amidst the gorgeous locales of Kashmir, also called heaven on earth. Raazi captures the true essence of the destination and how it is home yet a little away from home. Apart from Kashmir, some of the major parts of the movie have been shot in Delhi’s Miranda House.

Notebook

Notebook has been shot in the exquisite valley of Kashmir bringing the authentic love story of two lovers Firdaus and Kabir, along with a strong supporting cast comprising the child artistes, who play a vital role on the story. The film takes the audience on a romantic journey against the backdrop of Kashmir, raising the question; can you fall in love with someone you never met? 

Manali on celluloid 
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani made Manali the most loved tourist destination. The movie gave Manali tourism such a boost that one of the most beautiful place, the Hadimba Mandir, has become a must-visit place for the youngsters now.

Chamba calling
Taal

Shot in the picturesque locations of Chamba, the song Taal Se Taal Mila from the movie Taal, gives us travel goals to visit this small village in Himalaya and feel the essence of nature. The lush green landscape, surrounding mountains and drizzling monsoon, what else can you ask for.  

Checking in Rohtang 
Jab We Met

Remember Kareena Kapoor dancing to Yeh Ishq Haaye from Jab We Met? That song was shot in Manali at the Rohtang Pass. After that song, whenever planning a trip to Manali, usually people take a day off to visit the vista point of Rohtang Pass as it is the ultimate and almost a must-visit attraction in Manali.
