Pop sensation Rihanna, who was in news recently for extending her support to ongoing farmers’ protest, is making headlines once again however, for a wrong reason.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Rihanna posted a picture of herself, wearing a necklace that had a Ganesha pendant. In the picture, the singer is seen wearing purple shorts and a diamond-studded Ganesha necklace. The tweet was accompanied with lyrics from Jamaican DJ Popcaan’s 2018 song Naked. Within no time, her post went viral and netizens slammed her for hurting religious sentiments. While one user wrote, “Disrespecting one’s religion doesn’t make you a better person @rihanna, Lord Ganesha is worshipped in Hinduism. @Twitter @jack this post is disrespectful for Hindus please remove it.
