How did you start your journey in the field of acting?

I came to Mumbai to become a designer and that’s what led me to NIFT. In my last year, I signed up for a theatre workshop at Pravah and was introduced to acting there. I fell in love with acting and decided to take up acting as my profession.

You have recently made your OTT debut with Anbarivu. What is your take on the rise of OTT platforms?

Yes, Anbarivu is getting a good response from the audience. OTT has become big during the pandemic and has changed the game of entertainment. Now it’s all about content. The thing that I really like about OTT is that it gives a fair chance to everyone to showcase their creative skills.

What kind of roles would you like to play in the future?

I would like to experiment with all the genres and different types of roles, as I am still at a learning stage. Now with so much boom in content, you can experiment a lot.

Your Instagram feed reveals you are a dog-lover. Tell us something about your furry friend…

Yes, I had a furry friend named Shiro. He was the best thing in my life, but he passed away in 2019. I was way too attached to get a new one!

You have worked in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu industry as well. What similarities do you see in the work culture of these industries?

The similarity is the professionalism and the passion for cinema, and the unfiltered love for our culture.

Who are some of the directors you would like to work with?

Gauri Shinde, Sudha Kongara, Kabir Khan, Shoojit Sircar, Om Raut, Anjali Menon, and more.

What are the three main things you look for before locking a script?

The story, the team and what my instinct says!

What are your resolutions for 2022?

My New Year resolution is to be more committed to my craft and fitness routine.
