Set in 1947 Lahore, pre-Partition India, Sony TV’s upcoming show Kyun Uthe Dil Chod Aaye narrates the story of three young girls - Amrit, Vashma and Radha. This story brings forth their dreams, hope, aspirations and love. Kanika Maheshwari has been recently roped in to play a pivotal role in this show.
She says, “I am coming back on screen after some time, so I am really happy. Talking about my character, she is a widow who is never happy with anything. It’s an all-out negative character. Even my look is very different from my previous shows. It’s a colourful role with no colours on me.”
