Shweta Basu Prasad auctions her painting ‘100 years of Satyajit Ray’

Actress Shweta Basu Prasad has decided to help out Covid-19 victims by auctioning her painting ‘100 years of Satyajit Ray’. All the proceeds will go towards helping Covid patients, the medical fraternity and their families. Shweta took to social media and said the starting bid amount for the painting will be Rs 50,000.

Shweta took to her Instagram account, shared pictures of her painting and wrote, “I am a self-taught painter, please excuse my attempt... I don’t know any other way to help sitting at home. And I really want to...”

She added, “Satyajit Ray made films about the common man, it’s fitting that I take this initiative up today on his birth centenary.”
