Vaishali Arora, who portrays Riya in Udne Ki Aasha, has opened up about her experiences playing the progressive and relatable character on the Star Plus show.

“Riya and I share many similarities, so it’s natural for me to add real-life nuances to her. Whether it’s how she talks, sits or reacts in different situations, these small details make her more relatable,” Vaishali said. “I also listen to feedback from my directors and creatives, ensuring I stay true to their vision while bringing in my own elements.”

Reflecting on her journey with the show, Vaishali said, “The bond I share with my co-stars and crew is amazing. Everyone is hardworking, and the atmosphere on set is so positive that I miss it when I’m not there. It’s been an incredible experience so far.”

Riya’s character stands out for challenging societal norms and questioning traditions, something Vaishali finds particularly exciting. “Riya is a modern woman who speaks her mind. One memorable moment was when she questioned her mother-in-law about why certain rituals are only for women. These are issues that resonate with audiences today,” she said.
