The big Punjabi family, a missing bride, the army of dead, documentary on life of musician PINK and an anthology series, take a note of the top five new releases on OTT this week.

May 18: Sardar Ka Grandson on Netflix

A grandmother’s last wish, a dedicated grandson and a heart-warming journey, this film promises warmth, love, and celebration of the bonds within a large Punjabi family. Comprising an ensemble cast - Neena Gupta, Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari, John Abraham, Soni Razdan, Kanwaljit Singh, Kumud Mishra and Divya Seth, Sardar Ka Grandson showcases the journey of a US-returned grandson who will go to any length to fulfil the last wish of Sardar, the family matriarch.

May 18: Runaway Lugaai on MX Player

Directed by Avinash Das, this MX Original Series stars Naveen Kasturia, Ruhi Singh, Sanjay Mishra and Ravi Kishan. It’s the story of Rajni and Bulbul. Their plans of a happily married life go for a toss when bride Bulbul goes missing without a trace.

May 21: Army of the Dead on Netflix

Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted. The film marks Hollywood debut of Huma Qureshi. May 21: PINK on Amazon Prime Video

Directed by Michael Gracey (known for directing The Greatest Showman), this documentary is based on the life and work of the musician PINK. Join the award-winning musician as she embarks on her record-breaking 2019 Beautiful Trauma world tour.

May 21: Solos on Amazon Prime Video

This anthology series, created by David Weil, stars Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway and Helen Mirren. It explores the strange, beautiful, heart-breaking, hilarious, wondrous truths of what it means to be human.
