Web of love
Some flowers, few candles and plenty of smiles, this Valentine’s Day celebrities took out time to spread love. Here’s a quick check.
Playful, romantic & bold
Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram to express his love in a playful manner. Sharing a picture with Shibani Dandekar, he wrote, ‘If you want to be my Valentine, raise your hand.’ He tagged Shibani too and they look blissfully in love!

Sushmita Sen shared two pictures — one with her daughters sleeping on the floor and another with her boyfriend Rohman Shawl in the same, rather romantic, setting. She captioned the pictures — “Valentine’s Day. Here’s wishing you love that helps you grow… may you be the one that loves more!”
Sonam Kapoor posted a picture of her lips locked with Anand Ahuja. “Throwback to July 2016, our first trip to Paris together; we had to take a cheesy Eiffel Tower picture! I love you forever my Valentine. Thank you for being thoughtful and so generous with your emotions, I’ve never been happier my love,” she proclaimed on her page.
Sara Ali Khan urged her followers to celebrate the day of love by catching up her Friday release Love Aaj Kal. “Happy Valentine’s Day … Watch #LoveAajKal it’s out today,” the actress wrote.
Fan love
“Coz all of me loves all of you,” wrote Sidharth Malhotra on his social media handle. “This Valentine’s Day, tell me one song that you would like to dedicate to me and why? Use the #SongForSid and the one I love the most will get a call from me & we can hear that song together,” he added for his fans. Varun Dhawan literally wore his heart on his shirt, as he posted: “Happy #valentinesday doston yaaron pyaaron. Don’t cheat your heart beat.”
Family & friends
his mom
Actor Paritosh Tripathi celebrated the day with his mother. “Love’s not only between a boy and a girl, it can be between son and mother, brother and sister,” he shared.
Bharti Singh, who will be seen hosting the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer, says, “Valentines’ Day isn’t all about romantic love. It is for every relationship that you are in and admire around you. It can be for your mom, dad, siblings, house help, caretaker or your fans. This Valentine’s Day, want to extend love to all my fans and wish them a very happy Valentine’s Day. I think the best love is that of ‘true friends’. Harsh and I are friends first and we have a lot of fun.”
Deep feelings
Poulomi Das, who essays the role of Purnima in the show Kartik Purnima, went into ‘friends’ mode “Every year, I celebrate the day with my friends and I call this day Friends’ Day. I celebrated this year with my friends as well. For me, celebrating the day of love is not enough; you must love your loved ones, your parents and friends every day. To make this day even more special, I went to the old age home, so that I could make those people feel that apart from their loved ones there are people who love them.” Her co-star on the show, Harsh Nagar, shared, “I usually always go out for dinner with my wife Tanvi. Alongside, I purchase few gifts. Previously, I used to go to the shops three-four days ago and research, but this year I have shopped for the gifts online.”
Actor Gaurav Bajaj, who is currently seen in the show Meri Gudiya, usually takes his wife abroad to celebrate Valentine’s Day, but he had to give their annual ritual a miss this year as their son Vyom is only a few months old. He banked on diamonds to surprise her this time. “A diamond ring to seal the deal!” he shared.
