‘Energy efficiency vital for reducing harmful emissions’

LUDHIANA: An exhibition “B2B” on energy efficiency and technical work was organised at Sohan Lal Pahwa Auditorium, CICU Complex, Focal Point, Phase-5, today.

An exhibition “B2B” on energy efficiency and technical work was organised at Sohan Lal Pahwa Auditorium, CICU Complex, Focal Point, Phase-5, today.

The chief guest for the event was DPS Grewal, chief engineer, PSPCL, Ludhiana. He visited the stalls in the exhibition and was highly impressed by the modern technology, tools and equipment being displayed by the exhibitors.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, president, CICU, welcomed the dignitaries. He said: “Energy efficiency simply meant using less energy to perform the same task such as eliminating energy waste.” He added that energy efficiency brought a variety of benefits to the industry by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing demand for energy imports, and lowering energy costs used in the industry.

The exhibition in which as many as 33 exhibitors displayed their technologies, witnessed more than 2000 visitors.
