163 examined at free check-up camp

Ludhiana, October 22

A health awareness programme was conducted by Dayanand Medical College and Hospital at Gurdwara Nanaksar, Thakarwal village, Pakhowal Road, on Monday.

At the programme, 163 villagers were examined by a team of doctors from the DMCH. Patients were thankful to the DMCH team for providing them with free BP, blood sugar check-ups, ECG and medicines.

Patients were educated about precautions, good eating habits and things to be avoided to live a healthy life and how early detection of diseases is helpful in proper cure. They were also told about the benefits of various medical insurances and government schemes. —TNS
